Massage Therapy for Personal Growth

Most people think of massage therapy as a treatment for sore muscles or a way to relax from a busy week but what if it also helped you to develop a deeper relationship with yourself? What if regular massage therapy helped you listen more deeply to your body? And could help bring more awareness to your experiences in and responses to life.

I encourage you to close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths.

Take a moment to ground. Take a few moments to notice your body. Tightness in your jaw or shoulders, aching in your wrists or low back can guide your mind to areas of your body that need attention. Stretching, self-care, and professional massage therapy can all be tools for deeper self-understanding.

Within the therapeutic space of a massage therapy treatment, there is an opportunity for developing deeper self-awareness. The skilled and thoughtful touch of a massage therapist can guide you to noticing tension you may have been unaware of or perhaps help you connect with emotions you did not know you were carrying. In this space, of being held and witnessed by another, you have the chance to connect more deeply and release what causes you pain, on multiple levels, ideally feeling better in your life after your time on the table.

If this sounds like something you would like to explore, please reach out to schedule your appointment with Kelé Bodyworks. You will be supported in a calm, relaxed environment, with a session tailored to your body.

Please note that massage therapy supports, but does not replace, mental-health care.
